Current 2020.21 Production Team
Kathy Side, Producer
Kathy, the wife of Brian and mother of seven, has homeschool their children of which now are four college graduates, two college students, and one homeschool teen. Kathy taught high school math and computer science in the public schools for seven years before retiring to be a stay at home mom. Besides being involved in theater, Kathy is a Sunday school teacher and huge sports enthusiast of homeschool teams. As the producer and administrator for Take 3 Christian Theater, she is thrilled and humbled to have had the opportunity to work with such great cast members and their servant parents. Through teaching at the Pillar, Kathy is also thankful to be able to be “give back” to The Pillar Foundation and their wonderful volunteer teachers who had sacrificially taught her own children since 2003.
Eliana Steele, Director
Eliana is thrilled to be a part of the Take 3 team again! A recent graduate of Missouri Baptist University, She has a degree in Theatre with minors in Accounting and Business Administration. Onstage, she enjoyed a variety of roles at MBU, including Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), and Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods). Offstage, some of her favorite tech positions have been as lighting designer and stage manager. Eliana helped as assistant director for Take 3’s 2017 production of Joseph and the…Dreamcoat and 2019 production of Narnia, for which she also designed props. Currently, she works at MBU in the Accounts Payable office and enjoys teaching kiddos at Dayspring Performing Arts. Eliana loves the Take 3 community and cannot wait to see all the amazing things God will do in and through Take 3 this year!
Jill Fletcher, Music Director, Children’s Chorus Director
J ill was born and raised in St. Louis, educated at home K-12th grade and at Grove City College. In 2009, according to the sovereign orchestration of God, I met Sam Fletcher (Naval Officer/Aviator) and decided to give my life to the greater joy of marriage and motherhood. We have been given the privilege of shepherding five children, ages 9 to 1. Annapolis, MD, Yokosuka, Japan and the outskirts of Washington, D.C. have been our home for our eleven years of marriage up until April 2020, when we were provided a way to move back "home" to St. Louis.
Rewinding, my teenage years were sweet times in my life specifically related to musical theater. I was heartily involved in Broadway On The Driveway for 7 years, in their summer musical productions, Christmas variety shows, tap & voice classes and acapella octet. I also co-directed younger kid’s musicals with Act II for a handful of summers.
It is my joy to join the work of Take 3 as Music Director for "Joseph". I will prioritize praying for the cast by name, shepherding hearts to trust our Lord, and keeping the pursuit of musical excellence on stage aimed for the glory of God!
Brooke Stephens, Assistant Director
Brooke finds the utmost joy in the outlet that performing arts provide from the community to the challenge of work, and finally the adrenalin rush of sharing a part of yourself with the audience. As a baby, she was running before she was walking, and this would define her drive for movement and expression. Brooke has participated in many community theater and high school programs from both the technical and performance sides. Whether it be a community theater production of Shakespeare or a choir performance, a dance teaching position or a musical theater rehearsal, Brooke enjoys every aspect of the process of building and performing a successful production. She has a wide variety of dance experience with an extensive background in ballet technique as she danced with the St. Louis Ballet Company for 3 years. She is absolutely overjoyed to be able to participate in Take 3’s mission to educate, edify, and entertain. As she strongly believes that the performing arts are an invaluable tool to express oneself and to encourage growth! She is excited to meet and work with y’all for the Glory of the Father!
